Here are a few things we've been up to these past weeks!
Elijah was able to attend VBS at my parent's church a couple weeks ago with his cousin Jeremy. They both had a great time and it was exciting to see how much Elijah would ask questions about Jesus and how much we actually got to discuss who Jesus is and how we can love people like Jesus does. Every night before bed we pray and this was the first time that he initiated it on his own, it touched my heart so dearly and I know he made Jesus smile :-) I think of how proud I am of my little man when he iniates intimacy with Christ, and how much greater that must be for our Father when we do the same. At the end of the week they had a BBQ and bounce house to celebrate. It was a great first experience and he has already said he wants to go to our church's VBS next!

Today was Cow Appreciation Day at Chick Filet so if you dressed up like a cow you got to eat for free! My mom put together these 5 minute costumes and we headed over for a free meal :-) The boys were excited and practiced their "mooing" on the car ride over.

We have been frequenting the beach quite often these days and our dear friend Mariko was able to join us. She recently moved from Texas and is here for the summer before heading over to Japan for a year (she's an adventurer and goes where God calls her!). I'm so glad we are overlapping our stay in Cali! We had a blast and the weather was Perfect :-)

The cow costumes...ADORABLE!! Can't wait for more play dates with you and the boys!
ReplyDeleteI simply cannot tell you how much I enjoy your postings. It allows me to feel I am in close touch with you and the boys, and I look at all of it over and over. It means a lot to me, so thank you. It also thrills me that Elijah got to go to Vacation Bible School and that he is understanding so much of it all. We are blessed.
