Pre Easter Party

Today we got to celebrate Easter a little early :-) Even though the weather wasn't the warmest, the boys had a great time dying eggs, doing an egg hunt and listening to the Easter story.

My friend asked me to read the Easter story to the boys and to be honest, I don't think I've ever told Elijah what Easter is all about in detail. So I looked up some ideas online and found a great way to tell kids about Jesus and what he did for us. I made 'Resurrection Eggs' and each egg has a different part of the story in it. (This is the website I used cullensabcs.com/easter-story-resurrection-eggs-activity/) Thanks Grandma for the eggs :-)
Resurrection Eggs! As you open the eggs, you tell the story.

Niagara Falls

Horseshoe Falls, Niagara Falls
This past week Kevin had a week off for winter break.  Although our plans were set back a couple days (elijah was sick) we got to go to Niagara Falls.  This was a first for all of us and even though it's winter time, it was beautiful.  We drove through Canada and stayed for a night. It was definitely cold and we got pretty wet (well Kevin and I did, the boys stayed nice and dry) by the falls, but it was really pretty. We drove across the bridge and went over to New York to go to the aquarium.  It was a fun little family trip in the midst of Kevin's busy studying.
