A busy start to 2013!

Where does the time go??? To recap, we had a nice white christmas this year which was fun. We made a yummy breakfast and the boys had a blast opening their presents. It was a great day celebrating Jesus, and all that we are thankful for. We spent the day playing with our new toys, and relaxing. We definitely missed spending time with our extended families though!

christmas morning!

This was a christmas present, Elijah had fun
digging for dinosaur bones.  Took him about an hour and a
half to chip away all that dirt and rock!

This is Skeletony the dinosaur :)
January started off great and we had some friends, the Baker's come from California for a quick visit.  The next day, we packed up our car and (left at 4:30am thanks to kevin:)) headed for New York!  We were lucky enough to stay with our friends Brianne and Spencer while we were there, and Brianne took us around to see all the sites.  We were only there for 2 days, so we saw as much as we could.  We headed next to Providence, Rhode Island and just explored for the day and headed to Salem, Massachusetts.  I guess Salem is real popular during October, but after that, it kinda shuts down, which we didn't realize until we started walking around and everything was closed for the season.  A bit of a bummer...Elijah really wanted to see the pirate museum, and Kevin wanted to see the salem witch trials museum :(   Next we headed to Boston and stayed there for a few days.  We did the entire freedom trail, the tea party museum, childrens museum and trolley stops.  It was a fun visit, but it was nice to get home!

Mommy and Elijah climbed all 295 steps up, and immediately
down, since someone had to go to the bathroom real bad...
Downtown Boston at night, so pretty!
The day after we got back, we celebrated Jacob's belated 2nd birthday party with some of his friends.  We had it at the Tree House which is this really cool indoor playground.  It was a great party and everyone had alot of fun.

Kevin and Elijah both started back at school this week and I started watching a good friend's 9 month old baby 2 days a week.  It's been alittle crazy, but everyone's napping right now so phew!!  Kevin and I also celebrated our birthday's by going to a Brian Regan show at the Fox in Detroit. It was a great show, he's our favorite comedian and the venue was so beautiful.  Our friends ended up getting tickets too, so we got to do a double date which was fun.  They are from the area, so they got to show us around the city and took us to a great mexican restaurant, real authentic, we'd been missing some good mexican food! It's been a busy beginning to 2013, but packed full of fun stuff, so we're excited for it!
