Fall...

Time really flies by...maybe because I know this is our last year in Michigan.  Whenever there is a limited amount of time to do all the things you said you wanted to do, but put off, I find myself feeling rushed and trying to do too much at one time.  I'm learning to enjoy it day by day :)

Fall is my favorite time in Michigan.  Although lately it's been feeling a little more like winter, the trees, leaves, pumpkin patches and apple orchards are in full swing and it's just beautiful.  I love living in a place where fresh cider and homemade donuts are a staple everywhere you go.

Jonathan is doing great, he smiles and coos and just melts my heart whenever I look at him. He's 8 weeks old, 13 pounds and a little over 23 inches long. His brothers couldn't adore him more.  Maybe a little too many kisses, head rubs and snuggles, because he had his first cold already! Just a runny nose and a little congestion at night, but poor guy, he was a trooper though.
Elijah is enjoying being four, and is doing great at school, his current interests are superheroes, baseball, (sometimes basketball-only when daddy is headed out to play with a friend :), loves pretending about everything, ninja turtles, and wrestling with daddy.
Jacob will be 3 at the end of December and follows in his brothers footsteps, whatever Elijah does, Jacob does.  They love playing and pretending together.  Jacob has been really into catching bugs and spiders, not so much anymore, but when it wasn't as cold, they'd spend an hour in the backyard, just going around trying to catch things.  Jacob's current interests include, reading books (he'll take stacks and just sit up at night 'reading' to himself) puzzles, racing cars, superheroes and wrestling with daddy.

Kevin is keeping busy with school, and trying to get all the preparations for taking the bar next summer.  He has a big test coming up called the NPRE which I believe is an ethics test that you have to take before practicing law.  Even though he's still pretty busy with school, he has a lot more time this semester to spend with us, which has been great.

I am doing good, trying to adjust with a three kid schedule which has been interesting at times :)  Getting a moderate amount of sleep :)  Excited to start playing basketball with some women from our church in a rec league, which should be fun, I need to start getting in shape!

Here's what we've been up to these past couple months...:-)

Grammy came to visit at the beginning of September, so
much fun, and such a huge help!

Noni and Grandpa came out middle of September for
a quick visit too :)

Elijah's class went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch and
apple orchard, so we all got to go :)

Jonathan at 6 weeks

Too bright for Jacob to open his eyes :)

Jonathan Andrew Hill

We are excited to announce the arrival of our son on August 15th.  I always knew he was coming early, and at 37 weeks, he decided to show up :)  7 pounds 7 ounces, 20.25 inches long and such a cutie.  We are enjoying the time we have together as a family, Kevin is off till September, so it has been such a huge blessing since he has been basically taking care of all of us right now :)

Jonathan means "gift of God".  We decided on the name because Kevin and I both love the story and friendship of Jonathan and David in the Bible in 1Samuel 20. It's an awesome demonstration of true friendship and faith despite difficult circumstances.

Here are some pictures of our little guy.  He fills us with such joy! His brothers are thoroughly enjoying having him home.  Elijah always wants to touch or kiss, or hold him.  And Jacob always says "I love you, baby" whenever he sees him and kisses him on his head.  Our boys are the best!  I love watching the interactions of all three boys together, it's such a blessing as parents to see your children love and care for each other.

He must have been having a pretty funny dream, he was
making cute faces :)

Back in Michigan

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in California, hanging out with friends and family.  It's been nice though getting settled back in Michigan.  It's great getting to hangout as a family together without work and before school starts.  We're getting things ready for our little man to arrive, putting the crib together, sorting through clothes and trying to organize for 3 boys in our home :)

Here's some more pictures from our time in CA...:)

Celebrating Father's day and Jeremy's birthday too:)

Beach bonfire and s'mores at Huntington Beach

All the kiddos, this was as good as it gets:)

Noni and her boys

Kevin and Elijah had a great time road tripping home and got to stop at a lot of fun places along the way.  Elijah is now a collector of magnets (just like daddy:)) and smooshed pennies.  It was nice getting to fly home, even though I was 35 weeks pregnant, and I am just thankful that we made it back with no problems.  Everything is looking good and now at 36 weeks, I am ready for this little boy to come!

New Mexico (future birder:))

Oklahoma City

Little Rock, Arkansas

We were able to go blueberry picking this weekend and it was a lot of fun.  The boys ate pretty much the whole time and we collected 7 pounds of blueberries.  I love picking my own fruit and making yummy things with them (bad sweet tooth!), so we had to make a pie that night, made muffins in the morning and am thinking maybe jam next.

Summer Fun

We have been blessed to be with so many friends and family this summer.  Grammy and Kelly were able to come down to SoCal and take the boys to Disneyland (gave mommy a day off!).  This was Jacob's first trip and he had SOO much fun! Both boys were nothing but smiles, and they were gone from 7:30am to 9:30pm! We also got to meet up with Jenny and TJ in Corona for a BBQ which was so great.  Elijah really looks up to TJ, he thinks he's so cool :) It was a great visit and we loved spending time with everyone :)  Great Grandma and Grandpa Hill were also able to come over and spend some time with us too, which is always a treat.

I believe this was right before they left the park, and still smiling:)

Toon Town was Jacob's favorite!

Elijah got to be Ironman! That's him, little iron man :)

Always a favorite, Buzz Light Year!

Elijah loved playing in the pool at Jenny's parents house.

The kid table.

Jakey reading with Great G-pa :)

We were able to meet up with some dear friends in San Luis Obispo for a quick weekend trip.  It was so much fun having the kids play and getting to catch up with everyone. Life never slows down so it was great to spend some time just enjoying each other's company :)  This was also the first time we were able to meet baby Carter since he was born, such a cutie!  Next year we will need to make it longer!

Us with all the kiddos!

August (2), Georgia (5), Carter (3mo), Elijah (4), Landon (2), Jacob (2)
That's a lot of kids!

Morro Bay

My parents street had a block party for 4th of July since this is the first year in like 20 years that we were able to light off fireworks.  There was a bounce house, volleyball, ping pong, water shooters and balloons, food and of course lots of fireworks.  The boys had fun lighting and blowing things up :) It made for a late night, but so much fun!

Sparkler time!

Sweaty, but still patriotic :)

Jeremy wasn't super into the fireworks, but his brother was running
around dancing the whole time :)

Me and Max :)
The Millers were able to come enjoy the fireworks :)

The show starts, and lasts about 1 1/2 hours!
Graham was super into it, even got to light some all by himself :)

Kevin is enjoying his job and it is keeping him busy.  We are staying busy with swim lessons, and Elijah is starting tee ball and basketball next week.  I am currently 31 weeks preggo and feeling pretty good.  It's definitely more uncomfortable to sleep now though :) Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!
