So we finally caught Jacob's dance moves on video! We went out to dinner last weekend and I guess he liked the music...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Sorry it's taken so long to update our blog!  We are chugging along, and Kevin is in full study mode at school, so poor guy has been really busy.  But we were able to go out for an early Valentine's dinner on this past weekend while some friends watched the boys.  It was a very relaxing and much needed date night :-)  Tonight I think Elijah and I are going to go on a dessert date after Jacob goes to bed for Valentine's.  Just a fun time we can spend together one on one. 
Let's see what's new... well Jacob has been walking for a while now, and is getting pretty good at it!  It's fun to see him mosy around the house all by himself, getting into all sorts of mischief.  We are in the process of potty training right now with Elijah and at first it was going really well...now it's back and forth, so it can be frustrating at times, but we know our guy is capable of it!  Here's a video of Jakey singing with his microphone.  He loves to dance too, but gets camera shy when we try and take a video.

I've been doing alot of sewing lately, and have lots more fun ideas to try out too ( I think Pinterest is to blame :-)) Just made a cute apron for my cousin's birthday.  I found the tutorial here.  Made a yoga mat bag, because I started taking a stroller strides class where I can workout with my kids!  This snow is making me a little stir crazy, so getting to exercise has lately been very much needed!  The boys are enjoying it though, so I won't complain too much.  We've built a snowman, a snow snake, a fort, and lots of snowballs!  Jacob is really funny because when we go outside, I'll just prop him somewhere and he won't move from his spot the entire time we're out there.  Just stands and watches, even though he Could move, he doesn't.  I don't know if it's the boots or he's scared of face planting in the snow, but it's pretty funny.  I must confess I did hit Elijah in the face with a snow ball at fairly close range...it was an accident and  I felt really bad, but he took it in great stride :-)  We can laugh about it now.  



This was a while back, but my camera battery had died and I lost the charger, so I finally was able to download some old pictures from december.  Since the weather is too cold to be outside very long, we set up a birding game for Elijah.  We have lots of stuffed animal birds, so we stuck them all around the house and Elijah got his binoculars and Daddy's bird book and went on a birding expedition.  He had a lot of fun with it, and it made Kevin pretty proud of his son when he correctly identified the bird.
